Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 30 November 2025

Introduction

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how Starly ("the App") handles information. The App does not collect, store, or track personal information about you. We do not use cookies, analytics services, advertising networks, or any third‑party tracking tools. The App uses Apple's CloudKit to synchronize data across your devices, but your data is stored in your own iCloud account and remains under your control. We cannot access, view, or share any data you store through CloudKit.

Information We Do Not Collect

Personal information: We do not collect or store personal identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or device identifiers.

Usage data: The App does not collect usage statistics, diagnostic data, or analytics about how you use the application.

Cookies and tracking technologies: We do not use cookies, web beacons, or similar tracking technologies. There are no third‑party advertising SDKs or analytics libraries integrated into the App.

Location data: The App does not request or track your location.

Because we do not collect any personal information, there is nothing to sell, share, or disclose to other parties.

Use of CloudKit

The App relies on Apple's CloudKit service to store and synchronize your data across your devices. When you use the App, data that you create or manage is saved to your private CloudKit database. Only you, while logged into your iCloud account, can access this data. According to Apple's documentation, user data in CloudKit belongs to the user, and only the owner can access data stored in the private database; even developers cannot read it from the iCloud Console. Your data counts against your iCloud storage quota and remains subject to Apple's security and privacy safeguards. We have no access to your CloudKit records and cannot view, modify, or monitor your data.

Third‑Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third‑party services or SDKs (such as Google Analytics, advertising networks, or social media plugins). Because we do not collect any personal information, we do not share information with any third parties. Should we ever add third‑party integrations that handle personal data, we will update this policy accordingly and obtain any necessary consents.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires operators of websites or online services directed to children under 13 to post a clear and comprehensive privacy policy and obtain parental consent before collecting personal information. We comply with COPPA by not collecting any data in the first place. If you believe your child has provided us with any information, please contact us using the information below so we can delete it.

California and U.S. State Privacy Rights

California's Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) require businesses that collect personal information from California residents to post a privacy policy describing what they collect, why they collect it, whether they share it, and how consumers can exercise their rights. We do not collect any personal information, do not sell or share data, and do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because we do not track users. We provide this policy to inform you of our practices and to be transparent about the fact that no data is collected through the App.

International Users and GDPR

The European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to organizations that collect or process personal data of individuals in the EU or monitor their behavior. Because the App does not collect or process personal data and does not integrate third‑party analytics or advertising services, most GDPR obligations (such as appointing a Data Protection Officer) do not apply. Nevertheless, we recognize users' privacy rights. Should we ever integrate services that collect personal data, we will comply with applicable data protection laws and update this policy accordingly.

Data Security

Although we do not collect any personal information, we take your privacy seriously. Data stored in your iCloud account via CloudKit is protected by Apple's security infrastructure. We do not have the ability to access your CloudKit data, and we rely on Apple's technologies to secure your information. Your data is not transmitted to our servers because we do not operate any servers for the App.

Your Rights and Data Management

Since your data is stored in your personal iCloud account via CloudKit, you maintain full control over it. You can view your data directly within the App at any time.

To delete all your data: Open the App and go to Settings → Family → Delete All My Data. This will permanently remove all data associated with your account.

You can also manage your iCloud storage directly through iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Starly, or simply delete the App from your device.

Since we do not collect or have access to your data, there is no consent to revoke—your data remains entirely under your control through your iCloud account.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we update the policy, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
